In Fall 2001, the ASO was mentioned in Symphony Magazine as a "Leading
U.S. Small Community Symphony" by the American Symphony Orchestra League.
In 1999, the ASO was mentioned in Fanfare Magazine - "Stories about the
decline of classical music in America are confounded by...live performances by a...
70-piece orchestra from Central Pennsylvania, playing with a confidence...once...
unimaginable outside a major metropolis."
